Helsinki Travel Forum

Hei all,

I'm going to Helsinki this weekend from Tallinn, and besides going to see a show in Tavastia club, I've got lots and lots of free time on both saturday and sunday.

What kind of events are happening in Helsinki then? Any interesting fairs or whatever.. Something that would be worth to go and take a few photos of, or participate by myself and meet new people...

This is a very broad question, but please suggest something :)

It's a pity that it's happening on the next weekend though.. :\

Today was a nice event called Helsinki Merellä (Helsinki By Sea?). Boats took people to couple of small islands on the coast for free. I was cycling around in the city and spotted a poster of Helsinki Merellä, so I decided to go to Uunisaari. There's a boatyard building small boats and yachts and whole lot of ships around the island. Cycling, of course, is another thing to do in Helsinki. I brought my own bike, but you can get a simple green citybike from several stands in the city center for 2 € deposite.
