Hi All,

Can somebody advice how to get to the Poblet monastery from Tarragona.

I will be staying in the hotel in Tarragona and would like to have a one day trip to Poblet monastery.

I cannot find anything at Renfe or Alsa website. Is there local train or bus routes?

There are trains from Tarragona to L'Espluga de Francoli (3.5 Km from the monastery), maybe you can get a bus or taxi from there, I'm not sure, always have been to Poble by car

And the buses from Tarragona to Lleida do stop at the monastery of Poblet

Anyway, go to the tourist info office once you're in Tarragona and they will help you. Or at your hotel

If you can combine the same daytrip to Santes Creus or Montblanc, these are nice places to visit too

I agree with Belsa's info. Poblet is really worth a visit. I rented a car in Barcelona and drove from there.

I had a wonderful lunch there with my family. L'Espluga is small. Ask directions at the little bakery right off the highway; they were the ones who recommended it to us.
