| Malaysia | KL to Bangkok Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 07:19 AM UTC
Hi we arrive by AirAsia to KL 6th Feb. stay a few days then onto Bangkok. Can anyone advise me if there is a train between KL & Bangkok and return. Also if the trains are OK. I know we can fly but thought trains may be just a little different and an easy way for us oldies to see some of the country side.
Thanks in advance. Lyn |

hi lyn,
most visitors do not need a visa if stay is less than 1 month..check on site listed http://www.learn4good.com/travel/malaysia_visa.htm#req re train travel....imho the train travel is not worth it. you'll see many, many rubber and date plantations and small villages. fly to bangkok on airasia or nok airlines and use the time that you would have spent on the train (which might not be too flash-do not know much about this aspect of the trains) enjoying bangkok instead.
