try StubHub.com If you go on Craigslist, you may entice the seller to mail you his ducats if you pay the shipping. Otherwise, I don't think you need to have the physical tickets, but only a printout of the bar code, if you buy from a ticket agent. By the way, the Yanks AND the Mets got shut out today. They are plain Jane middling teams; no better.

If you know which hotel you're staying at, then have the seller mail them to the hotel so that you can pick them up when you get there (and of course, tell the hotel that you will be expecting a delivery). Insist that they are mailed with a delivery signature required, so that you can make sure the hotel doesn't "lose" them. Best is to ask for them to be sent via FedEx or another courier service that requires a signature.
And yes, try StubHub: http://www.stubhub.com/new-york-yankees-tickets/

My advise to you is to show up at the stadium without tickets. Buy them at the stadium from the ticket office or scalpers. The Rangers are not a premiere team and even if the game sells out (Yankees have not been selling out, btw)there will be plenty of tickets for sale. You will probably pay less than buying them now (and paying expensive fees) and will get better tickets to boot. I love the Yankees, but fans are fickle and don't go to games when the team is down. They are down now and tix should be plentiful.
