Hi

Will be in Phuket in a couple of days, will be looking for a good Bicycle store as well as a Camping and Outdoor gear store.

Can anybody recommend any of the above.

You are pretty vague in your questions. I assume that you are talking about a peddle bike. Not sure where but you can probably rent one somewhere. Ever consider a moped? Much easier and LOTS faster and almost anyone can ride and handle them. They are everywhere to rent and very reasonable, shouldn't be more than 5-7$ per day tops, and most times 3-4$.
As far as camping gear is concerned, don't know what you are looking for or need or where yo are going ot plan on camping? Some of the National Parks have tents to rent but I don't think sleeping bags, haven't seen or heard of any beaches that would have that available. You may try to e-mail some of the dive shops, all over the web, in Phuket. They may have some ideas as to where you could get gear. Camping stores, no haven't seen any of those around.

we are currently doing a cycling tour (peddle type) around Thailand and will be in Phuket in a couple of days. I am looking for a bike store (good Quality) to resupply with spares. Same Same with Camping/Outdoor equipment

Sorry that I was not able to help more. Another thought though. As you pass through towns you will often see markets, sometimes at night, hence, night markets. Check these out as they often sell suplus miltary supplies and some of it can be camping gear of sorts. Much of it may not be the traditional camping gear but you should be able to make due, at least find tarps to keep the monsoon rains out!

Hello,Likewise,I have never seen any bicycle or camping equipment shops in Phuket...Altho' I would try Big C or Lotus shopping centers....Failing that....ask the locals when you arrive....good luck...!!

There are some large sporting goods stores in the two big malls that may have some of what you need in terms of camping gear. There is a bicycle shop on the main road behind Karon Beach. I took my Trek in there to get it tuned up when I first moved to Phuket.
