| Kuala Lumpur | Visa on arrival Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 04:45 AM UTC
I am an Indian passport holder. I am planning to fly to KL and apply for VOA, then visit Singapore for 3-4 days and then come back to KL by bus then stay in KL for a couple of days, then fly back to India.
Is it true that if you take a bus for Singapore - KL, you can get a VOA only if the bus comes through the second link and not through JB. Also, will they give me a VOA twice within a week if I have confirmed return tickets and visa for Singapore. Thanks |

Hi
If you have the time don't take the risk, apply the S'pore visa in India before hand if you want to go. Fern

Hi Fern.
Thanks for the quick revert. I have a multiple entry for Singapore. I need VOA while entering Malaysia. I am travelling tomorrow and always thought VOA wouldn't be a problem whichever link I took, until someone told me that it is not possible if we come in from JB. Thanks

It is true that Malaysian VOA for Indian Passport holders is available only in 2nd Link. It is not available in Woodland Checkpoint. I can't tell you whether Malaysian Immigration will issue you the Malaysian visa twice within a week. My guess is that as long as you have the return ticket to India with you, you should not have any problem in getting the Malaysian Visa within a week. SO while returning from Singapore to Malaysia, make sure your bus goes via 2nd Link. Many bus go via woodland check point.
Alternatively, apply for Malaysian Visa through Malaysian Embassy during your stay in Singapore. They take 3 days to process your visa. You may approach Mustapha Travels next to Mustapha in Singapore. They are authorized travel agents for Malaysian Visa in Singpore
