where can we stay in dumaguete???? aside from bethel guest house... is bacolod pensione house ok???? have u heard bout this hotel???? can u help me.. we will be in dumaguete in may 24.... hope 4 ur replies....

There are several hotels/inns in Dumaguete. We stayed at Maria Luisa Inn which is across the plaza or about 2 blocks from Bethel. Try browsing through the VT Dumaguete travel guide and you'll find more.

I have stayed at the 'Check Inn' the hotel is about 4 blocks west from the Bethel Inn. This past November 2007 when I stayed there the rates were 800 to 1000pesos are about $20 to $25 USA money; hot and cold showers, cold air con, 24 hour security, internet connection and restaurant, almost like home :) here is the email address I found on my receipt: checkinn_dgte@yahoo.com and cell number is 0928-217-8788 (remember is your using a cell phone to put the '0' in otherwise it will not work) I would also suggest if you arrive in the city before 1pm, just go to the McDonalds which is two doors from the Bethel Hotel, its kind of a hang out for the Americans there, and they are very friendly and will be happy to make other suggestions to you as well.
