Paris Marne la Vallee Chessy to the Eurostar Terminal (Paris)
Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 01:38 PM UTC
Hi all,

Can you advise if you know of a direct train from Marne la Vallee Chessy (Paris Disney) to the Eurostar Terminal? We need to get from Disneyland to the Eurostar terminal for our train into London and since we will have lots of luggae, we don't want to have to head via the city again.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks all,
L

sorry I should add I know there is a Eurostar terminal right near Disneyland, but that train leaves too late at night, so we are making our way back to the one in Paris to meet friends and catch an earlier one.

Any help appreciated.

L

You can get to Paris nord from Marne la Valle Chessy using the RER, but this involves a change in the city. Alternatively what you can do is take a TGV to Lille Europe, (there are several a day), and board the Eurostar train there. This will get you to London in about the same time as via Paris Nord, but with probably less hassle.

It is possible to purchase tickets from London directly to Marne La Vallee on the Eurostar. I am unsure of the exact routing of the train which might determine the necessity of changing cars somewhere enroute or not.

There is one direct Eurostar from Marne La Vallee to London, but the original poster doesn't want to take that.
This Eurostar takes about 2 1/2 hours, + the half hour check in time at Marne la Vallee. There are several other options, all involving a change in Lille. These take a bit over 3 hours.
I had a look on www.tgv.com (where you can book tickets for both options) and they all seem to cost the same.

I just had another look at the booking site, and found out that you can save quite a bit of money by booking Marne La Vallee - Lille Europe, and Lille Europe seperately. Just remember to plan for about half an hour to change trains, and go through security in Lille.
