Hi Babii, sorry but I can't give you any more advice than what I've given on the other forums. I hope someone else can help you out with the chemical straightening/extensions.

Hope you have a great time in Phuket.
Were there in March 08, My son (26) got dreads with hair extension & could only get 100% human hair but only asian hair & as he was blond was a bit different. Not sure of the brands of hair care but daughter (23) bought lots & lots of branded hair products really cheap, but at the airport suitcase was overweight so she took out all the heavy items i.e hair products not thinking about liquid allowance at next checkpoint & had most of them confiscated. I purchased bags in Phuket for around $20.AUD these were D&G Chloe & Jimmy Choo depends on your bargaining skills & smile & have a chat with the seller & you will get a better price we found. Also bought a really great unbranded bag for 200baht, $6-$7 aud. Shoes from about $5.Just bargain hard, enjoy it, smile & walk away if you dont get your price, 9 times out of ten thay will call you back & agree on your price.Go to Phuket Town as the prices are generally cheaper there, Also found prices cheaper at karon & Kata.
Hope this helps.

Try Robinsons in Junk Ceylon shopping mall for beauty products, you might get the brand that you want, if not, they do have international brands like SK2/estee/shiseido etc...

Also wide range & sharp prices for lingery

Enjoy shopping

Hey!

I got hair extensions in Phuket, I was there about a month ago. Went to a little salon in Karon, and paid 3000 baht. Very very very cheap and they did a FANTASTIC job, they're glue in and last around 6 months.

There are tailoring places everywhere and you can find all the cosmetics brands you're after. Bags can be expensive but if you're tough you can barter them down fine. :)
