For distances and map, use www.viamichelin.com
If I may, I would suggest Leiden and Apeldoorn for your accommodation. It may probably not coincide with your plans, but if they are at all changeable, you could consider it.
Katwijk and Noordwijk are very close together at the coast, with only 7 kms between them and both near Leiden.
Note that there's two 'versions' of each village: Noordwijk-Binnen (the village) and Noordwijk aan Zee (at the sea) and there's Katwijk a/d Rijn (the village) and Katwijk aan Zee (at the sea).
All in the province Zuid-Holland. Just so you know.
So its easiest really, to base yourself in Leiden.
For all public transportation schedules (bus/metro/train), use www.9292ov.nl
You can use this website with the following translation:
http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/tp/1aa687/
Rotterdam and Eindhoven are rather far from Hoenderloo, as you can see from PJ's travel suggestions. If you want a city close to Hoenderloo, choose Apeldoorn to stay. It's only 27 minutes from Apeldoorn to Hoenderloo with bus Veolia 108s.

Just about the 2nd Dutch training camp.
I'm pretty sure it will be hold at the training fields of Golden Tulip Victoria. This hotel has an address at Hoenderloo, but as a matter of fact it is located 'in the middle of nowhere'.
Your best bet would be to stay either in Apeldoorn or Arnhem. You could travel by public bus to a stop called 'Woeste Hoeve' and walk 10 or 15 minutes to the hotel.
See for more information of the hotel:

WOW!
Thank you everyone for your prompt, kind and VERY VERY HELPFUL replies.
Dear PJ,
I have another question after reading your reply.
Does the busses you have recommended me for travelling to Katwijk, Noordwijk and Hoenderloo get to these destinations directly, or should I go a few stops before changing to another bus?
Dear ATCL,
Thank you for your suggestion about accomodation in Leiden and Apeldoorn.
However, I decided to book hotels in Amsterdam and Rotterdam because this is going to be my first stay in Holland and wanted to see the big cities.
I also have another question for you.
You said there are two versions of Katwijk:
1- Katwijk aan zee 2- Katwijk a/d wijk
Can you tell me the following address is located in which one?
Quick Boys
Sportpark Nieuw Zid
Laan van Nieuw Zid
2225 SE Katwijk
Dear vtvteen,
Indeed the 2nd dutch camp is located at the hotel you said in your reply.
PJ told me in his post that if I want to get to Hoenderloo from Rotterdam I have to take the train to Ede-Wageningen. From there take Veolia bus #108s(direction Apeldoorn).
Do you happen to know at which stop I have to get off while travelling with bus #108s in order to reach the hotel where the dutch team will be staying?
Once again, THANK YOU everyone for your replies.
You are all very kind.
Regards

Re: Getting to Noordwijk and Katwijk Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 08:33 AM UTC
As I told in my first answer, the hotel isn't really located in the village of Hoenderloo. If you are travelling by train from Rotterdam it is much easier to go to Apeldoorn or Arnhem and then take the #91 Veolia bus (Apeldoorn- Arnhem) to the 'Woeste Hoeve' stop. (There is no public transportation between the village of Hoenderloo and the hotel, which is located about 5 km's from Hoenderloo.)

Persepolis, it's Katwijk aan Zee.
From Leiden Central station, there is a short connection (29 minutes):
9:18 departure leiden centraal station
leiden 9:21 walk 3 min to bus
9:21 departure Centraal Station
TO leiden transferium a44
leiden 9:26 bus 32 connexxion direction katwijk zh
9:29 departure transferium a44 TO leiden duinoord
9:39 bus 35 connexxion direction katwijk zh
9:40 departure duinoord, duindoornlaan
9:43 bus 35 connexxion direction leiden
9:43 duindoornlaan
katwijk zh TO laan van nieuw zuid
katwijk zh 9:46 walk 3 min
NOTE: there are other connections by bus/walking that take longer but that is because they involve longer walking (15-20 minutes). The one above looks the most complex but this connection als delivers you nearly to the front door of Laan van Nieuw Zuid. So take the connections at 18 or 48 minutes past the whole hour and don't forget to board the bus line 32 (not any other bus going the same direction or you'll end up walking after all).

Re: Getting to Noordwijk and Katwijk Posted: Wed May 21, 2008 05:43 PM UTC
Hello people,
I'm in Amsterdam right now.
I got to Katwijk on Tuesday thanks to the informations you guys gave me.
However, there was a slight problem since when I got to Leiden and wanted to take the bus to Katwijk, I found out that the busses were on strike!!!
So, I had to wait until 16:00 o'clock, or the rush hour as they told me, so the busses started running again, but only for two hours.
Now, I have a question:
Tommorow I have to get to Noordwijk.
Are the busses going to be on strike on Thursday as well?
And if yes, do they have a morning rush hour and if yes, when is it and how long does it last?
I'm asking this because I have to be in Noordwijk at 13:00 hours.
Regards

So, the busses will not run in the morning at all?
Not even between 6:00 o'clock and 09:00 o'clock?

Yes, they will run before 9. Because of the school exams, there is not a total strike. That's also why they start again after 16 hrs.
