Tuscany Pisa accommodation

Hi,
I arrive into Pisa late on Saturday night (11pm). How far is it to Pisa city centre from Pisa airport? Can anyone reccommend a good hotel?

Grazie,

It is quite close but would advise taking a taxi (euro 7-10). Check Venere.com for hotels.

Kathy is correct......the last train from the airport into town is at 2220......
the taxi realy is that cheap with the added advantage of it taking you directly to your hotel.

Billy

taxi takes about 15 minutes and can't remember exact cost but not expensive.

I have booked hotels through Expedia, the town is not big and accomodation really depends on what you want, I have stayed in hotel verde, cheap, simple, good location for town and quiet. And Royal Victoria, cheap, a facinating and interesting building, very old fashioned, beautiful location although a little noise from the main road outside the window. Staff helpful in both.

hope that helps

I too stayed at the Royal Victoria and found the building very very intersting. Unfortunately there was scaffolding all over the front of the hotel and as the prior posted said, there is street noise if you are in the front - I guess you trade this for the view of the river (hopefully the scaffolding is down by now). There is a great gelatto place around the corner - just east of the hotel and is stays open late.

scaffolding was still up in march but as said above the view of the river is amazing and it doesnt really get in the way. Think they are planning for it to be gone by the summer, but that might not happen.
