There's a bus parking in Mere puiestee (Sea Boulevard) just outside the old town, but I think it's limited for only 30 minutes. As you're coming from / going to Helsinki, you can leave the bus in the harbour terminal A, there are 15-20 parking spaces for buses and it's only about 700 metres from old town.
