Land transport between all the countries is easy. I personally enjoyed Nicaragua most but Honduras also has a few places that were dynamite. If you only want to go to one of the two countries then you will have to fly somewhere along the way. Belize is easy by land/water from Honduras but not from Nicaragua obviously. Not sure how much time you have but why not sample a bit of both countries? If not I would see Nicaragua then fly to Belize. Do some research if you are going soon as I did hear that there may be a transportation strike on in NIcaragua at the moment? When you decide which country you will visit let me know and I can fill you in on the great spots to check out.

I love Nicaragua! However, if you have a decision made lets not confuse it any more ;) The Bay Islands are definitely nice for diving and chilling out in the sun! I didn't fly at all in C.A. so can't really help you with prices or specific airlines. How much time do you have for Honduras? You could fly into San Pedro Sula and cover the NW? Copan Ruins are worth one day, Santa Rosa de Copan is also a nice little town with a cool cigar factory tour. If you like to hike and are in good shape you should visit Gracias and Parque Nacional Celaque. You can visit some waterfalls there or climb to the highest point in Honduras in one day or overnight. Lago Yojoa was pretty decent for a day or two of just relaxing as well but I would pick Gracias if I had to choose between the two. Let me know if you need more specifics on these places - like how to do the hikes, diving, costs, etc.
