I am travelling to San Francisco in July for 3 weeks!!
We are going to hire a car and drive to LA, San Diego and Vegas with all the stops in between!! We were looking on doing a side trip to Cabo, Mexico!! We were wandering if this was possible and were would be the best place to fly from and best time to fit it in!! Thank You!! |

Sans Diego and Francisco and LA have non stop flights. Weekends are very fun in Cabo

Seeing that San Diego is the closest city you mention to Cabo, I would fly out of San Diego for flight time and maybe even price. Your last stop might be the best to fly out of as to save money on the car rental drop off fee. Make sure your passports and visas to Cabo are in order.

BTW, you don't say where you are from and that may dictate if you do need a visa or not. Passport for sure and a round trip ticket needed.

Most often, the best price is from LAX, not SAN;also, there are fewer non-stops to SAN. I believe weekdays would be less expensive, too. AND, I would first check say, TRAVELOCITY, and if ALASKA AIR shows a good flight, then go to ALASKA's own website and probably get a little better fare. Lately, the airlines own websites have cheaper fares for the same flights as you see on Travelocity, Expedia, etc.(I live in Baja Sur and am frequently checking these two airports.) But also remember, July is very humid!!!
