| New York City | June Visit Posted: Tue May 13, 2008 12:37 PM UTC
Dear all VTers,
I have a few questions about my trip to NYC end of June. 1. What's the best way to get to Greenwich Village (W. 11th St) from Newark? 2. What's the best time to go to Top of the Rock? Dusk would be the best time for photo shooting but it may be packed with tourists! 3. Which company offers the best double decker bus tour? Is it worthwhile to do? Thanks Sybil |

Newark to Greenwich Village - take either the train to Penn Station or the bus
which most likely will end and drop you off at the main bus terminus The Port of Authority. From either direction, is a fast ride by subway to the village. Top of the Rock - anytime is great viewing time, check at Rockefeller Center for viewing schedule and admission. Open deck city tours - They're all about the same. Enjoy New York.

Hi Sybil.
I recommend the City Sights Bus, the blue double decker bus, which comes by more often. Sometimes, with the other buses, you have to wait a long time until they come by. I took some out-of-town friends on the blue bus this summer and loved it. The Web site is http://www.citysightsny.com/ but you can just go to Times Square, on 42nd Street and Broadway, and you'll find the bus and the salespeople right on the street to help you. Enjoy!
