| Cuba | All inclusives and travelling around Posted: Tue May 13, 2008 10:06 AM UTC
Hi, my friend and I are hoping to go to Cuba in July. we are thinking of booking an all inclusive, probably in Guadelevaca but we only intend on using it to chill out for the first couple of days, we then want to travel around the rest of the country. Has anyone used all inclusives this way? How easy is it to travel from Guadelevaca to other places such as Santiago?

While you are chilling out go to Gibarra and Cantelone for a little feel of Cuban life, I believe there is tours from the resort to at least Gibarra and maybe to Santiago other wise it is a 4 hour bus ride from Holguin. I would fly into Holguin and go straight to Santiago, stay in a Casa, hit the Casa de la Trova and discos at night, have drinks and lunch on the roof of the Casa Grande Hotel and hire a cab to the beach. There is a Cuban beach 30 minutes from downtown which we went to in a private car, very interesting.
