My choice would be the Four Seasons...but there again I havent stayed in any other 5* deluxe hotels in BBK! I loved the Four Seasons for its beautiful lounges, wonderful staff and excellent restaurants including the memorable Spice Market Restaurant.

I am a 3 star traveler, but I have seen some 5 star hotels in my travels. If I had a lot of money, I would go to the Dusit Thani. Their hotels in Bangkok and Pattaya look spectacular to me. I know the prices are.

The Dusit Thani is a very nice hotel and I used to stay there. These days I use the JW Marriott on Sukhimvit - as I use Marriotts a lot I have top status in their frequent stayer programme so I get upgraded rooms, access to the Club Lounge and other beneifts. Plus it is a very nice hotel in a good location. I have also stayed at the Oriental but I thought it was overpriced and much more geared to the businessman rather than the leisure traveller. There are so many good hotels in Bangkok...

The Peninsula often wins best hotel awards. I reckon the Shangrila is tired, old, smelly and crap.

Hi - My favourite would have to be Marriott Resort and Spa. it's on the river, but the other side. The rooms are lovely with a balcony, the whole place is an oasis in the city. The have a free boat shuttle to the Saphan Taksin sky train station.
Buffet Breakfast is to die for and their Buffet dinners as well - YOU NEED AMAP TO FIND ALL THE FOOD.
