Does anyone have any white water rafting recommendations north or west of Denver? We'll be heading up towards the Boulder/Rocky Mtn Ntl Park area, and preferably would like to stay north & west of Denver, rather than driving all the way down to the Royal Gorge area & back to go rafting.
Also, and cabins you recommend for lodging? Appreciate your help. ~PKME |

Have you considered the Yampa River in NW Colorado? It is the last undammed trubutary to the Colorado and naviagble only a few months out of the year. It is more of float trip than a pure adrenaline pumping, class IV and V "whitewater" rafting experience. If you seek an organized trip, contact ARTA thru their website and happy rafting. You may also want to consider the Green River in NE Utah (again, more of a float trip).
