Is it possible to visit Osios Loukas from Delphi using public transportation, or is a car necessary?

I am sure there is no direct bus, but I don't know if there is connection between different lines. I think the best way is to rent a car or a taxi. I estimate the distance to about 35 km.

Lonely planet says: You can take the Delphi bus from Athens and ask the driver to stop at the turn-off for Distomo, from where you should be able to flag down a taxi for the 12 km to the monasterie. Otherwise it's a 3km walk to the taxi stand at Distomo. From Livadia there are 11 buses daily to Distomo and 1 to the monastery at 1 pm. from Livadia there are buses to Athens.
I think it would be wise to rent a car... have fun Maria
