| World | Best way to travel South Africa Posted: Mon May 12, 2008 10:04 AM UTC
My wife and I are mid-fifties backpackers. We have three weeks in South Africa in July-August. We want to see animals: anything else will be a bonus. How should we do it?? Catch a tour or rent a vehicle?? We have no idea. We fly into J-burg and would like to visit Kruger,Vic. Falls,Okavango,Etosha,Namib-Naukluft,Kalahari and back to J-burg. Maybe it is way too much? We could also ditch the car and fly some sectors. Any recommendations??? Thankyou, Bruce

Hi,
Your question would probably get more response if posted in the South Africa forum. In addition, there is an amazing amount of info in the forum on what to do and where to go. Your tour includes 3 countries - South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. There is a lot of driving and you may feel happier in an organised tour - there are a number of companies that go to those places. Happy planning
