| Monte-Carlo | Grand Prix for novices Posted: Mon May 12, 2008 08:30 AM UTC
Hi everyone
We are staying in Nice, by coincidence at same time as Monaco Grand Prix. We want to spend a day in Monte Carlo,by public transport, visiting Oceanarium etc, and thought it would be fun, never having seen a Grand Prix before to visit on the Thursday, the practice day, just to get a flavour of it, before all the crowds arrive. Is this a good idea, if so, how best to see what's going on at minimal expense, eg which hotel to lunch at, and should we book? Or should we make sure to visit Monte Carlo earlier in the week, and skip any idea of the Grand Prix? MERCI! |

Depends on how keen you are to see the Grand Prix goings on. Monaco is a lovely easy to negotiate place at ordinary times, but I would think it could become quite chaotic during the Grand Prix, especially with a little one in tow. Don't miss it however, as it is well worth a day trip from Nice and of course is only half an hour away by train.
