Hello. I'm planning to travel Stockholm - Helsinki with viking line in july, but i don't know the exact day (until i get there). does anyone know if i can buy ticket only 1 or 2 days in advance?

Yes, there are last minute tickets available. However you of course can't be certain there will be tickets available. Summer season is popular :)

The Stockholm-Helsinki ferries are overnight, so you need to have a cabin berth (or a deck place, but I think that these are very limited on the overnight ferries) and these can get fully booked during peak times. But if you have some flexibility, you may be lucky and get a berth (may be shared). But all is not lost if you can't get a place on an overnight ferry, because you can still go on the day ferry from Stockholm to Turku and then get a train from there to Helsinki. As these are day sailings, you do not have to have a cabin, so there are more places available. We booked this trip with only a couple of days notice in July a couple of years ago and it was not a problem. Obviously doing it this way takes all day (rather than all night), but it should actually be cheaper.
