Can you please confirm for me that U.S. Citizens do not need a Visa to enter the U.A.E.?

You need a visa- madatory. The good news? You get it on arrival and its free!

All mine have been no problem at all. USA passport and 6 visits.

You don't need a visa.
Well, techncially you do, but in reality it is just a passport stamp : no forms, fees, or paperwork whatsoever. Just queue at immigration and off you go. You can stay up to 60 days.

You can just come without a visa and it will be stamped for you. But make sure you dont have any stamp of Israel on ur passport. If you have then better dont think to travel on that passport to any gulf countries.

As mentioned, you do need a visa to enter U.A.E but its issued when you enter through any of the ports. Citizens of few countries get visa on arrival to U.A.E!
