Hey guys!

We'll be arriving Jerez by train from Sevilla and will be in the Cadiz province for 4 days. We're going to be based out of Conil. The website www.tgcomes.es says that the bus route from Jerez to Conil is no longer running. Is this temporary. Are there other sites to check? I have no problem renting a car but I'd like to like the option of taking a bus if I decide to have some sherry. :) Any info?

I looked at the website, and couldn't see where it said that the bus wasn't running.

We spent a couple of nights in Chiclana in May 2006, and it was quite an easy drive into Jerez - apart from the roadworks (which must be finished by now !) where a lot of the route was being considerably upgraded.

The bus route is still working and costs 4,96 €. It is the frequency of the buses you have to worry about, as it may be the case that only one bus per day does that route. There is a bus that leaves Jerez weekdays at 14:15, it seems on a Saturday or Sunday it doesn't run.

Going Jerez Conil maybe more of a pain in the neck as the bus leaves at 07:40 in the morning weekdays only.


Maybe you were checking at weekends.

I don't think there is another bus route that runs to Conil from Jerez. There are many more buses on the Cadiz-Conil and Jerez-Cadiz route. You could always change there.

Okay. Thanks for the responses so far guys but I MUST be doing something wrong. When inputing Jerez to Cadiz on the same site, it tells me it's not available. I'm also getting the same response when I input Cadiz to Conil. Should I try somewhere else.

There are two jerez's maybe that's the problem. You want Jerez de la Frontera.

No, I just tried and there is a problem with the web site as usual. Try this link instead, it shows all the lines between Cadiz and Jerez down the left hand side:

Instead of typing the destinations into the boxes look at routes and schedules.
