http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en From: MUC To: Vienna or From: MUC To: Munich From: Munich To: Vienna There are a number of ho(s)tels next to Munich Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). > early the neext morning to vienna via a eurorail ticket What's that? Are you traveling on an Eurail pass. Or did you already buy ticket from a reseller?

The train journey from Munich to Vienna is long, it takes 5 - 6 hours with at least one change. Google Deutsche Bahn and click on international guests and the information will be in English. You can then look at times and print off a timetable if you need to. If you are arriving in Munich on an international flight allow plenty of time to get to the main train station as it takes some time to get there from the airport, you can catch the S-bahn directly to the station. There is a late night train to Vienna but I don,t like having to change trains at night, just a persoanl preference, so if you can I would suggest sleeping in Munich and catch a train the next day.
