| Buenos Aires | Insider's Palermo? Posted: Sun May 11, 2008 01:45 PM UTC
Hi, I'm in Buenos Aires for all of 2008 and would like to find some great places to explore other than the usual (i.e., San Telmo, Recoleta, etc.). I don't know a lot about Palermo Soho, Hollywood, or Viejo, having mainly hung around the areas between Santa Fe and Libertador. Does anyone have some suggestions about great neighborhoods to explore, good restaurants, etc.?

Look for an apartment close to the Plaza San Martin, just a quick walk to Puerto Madero. The reason it is so expensive in PM is because all the apartments there are luxury high rises, hence the high prices. You can certainly find an apartment for $400 to $600 a week, take a look at craigs list Buenos Aires.
