Is that price per person?
And what does it INCLUDE?

What kind of transport does the company provide? Sometimes people don't realize what a long trip it is from NYC to Niagara Falls - it's hundreds of miles.

Thanks for your reply. Yes this is per person. The price includes pick up from hotel, flight, transfer to niagra and maid of mist tour plus lunch and return.

figuring $440 US per person including all transportation sounds pretty good, particularly considering that all the planning and work appears done for you. Don't know the company but the price seems very nice.

Flight to/from Buffalo, NYC is about $220/person round-trip. Taxi from hotel to JFK is $60 for up to 4 people. Maid of the Mist is $12.50/person. Not sure how'd you get from Buffalo, NY to Niagara Falls. You'll have to ask yourself whether the additional $200 or so is worth the convenience.

Are you OK driving on the right? If so why not rent a car and drive out for an overnight visit? The cost would be about the same if not less and it's a nice drive...

Megabus.com will get you to to and from Buffalo Airport for around $1.50, Niagara Falls is only a short bus journey away from then. Although, be aware this service starts after 30th May.

with the Megabus.com route from New York in there, a massive saving, why not try a self-made itinerary, book your own hotels/hostel, pay seperately for the lunch and maid-of-the-mist. although, the bus ride to Niagara will take a while, but there is some breathtaking scenery.

drive to Niagara Falls from New York City, and back again?? do our visitors want to imprison themselves in a car for at least a 2 day round trip (at least 12 hours each way, unless a tractor-trailer overturns, or heavy rains set in), while eating fast food on the thruway and paying $4/gallon for gas? This does not sound like much of a vacation! They should either take this 230 pound offer, or fly from their home, straight into Buffalo, rent a car there, stay 1 night at Niagara, then fly straight into NYC to start the 2d leg of their visit. I've been there once, by car from NYC, but I wasn't pressed for time, as I was on the way to Toronto. 1 or 2 hours at the Falls was plenty for us; what else is there to see?!

hi Oldguy. I've read your travelpage, and I was interested in Germany. I'm an American, can speak some Italian and Spanish, but never German. I've a friend here in NYC who went to Germany a few years ago, and told me he was shunned and even ridiculed in Munich. i know every experience is singular, but do they hate Americans, say, even more than the French do? I have been to France, London, Italy, and Greece, and all were friendly, even helpful, except the French. How were you treated by the Germans over 10 days?

Hi John,
Actually when my son was working at a summer camp in New Jersey we used to stay at the KOA in a Kamping cabin on Grand Island Niagara Falls and would make Hardwick NJ by leaving around 6 am to pick him up on his last day by Noon. That was too quick a trip but on the way back by taking our time and driving to Scranton and then through the finger lakes area it was a nice enough drive. If I remember correctly we went North somewhere around Rochester and followed a parkway along the shore of lake Ontario. I remember a park with a lighthouse and being able to see the lights of toronto after Dark across the lake. My thoughts are that these folks have probably never even set the cruise if they are used to the roads in GB, might be a bit of a hoot for them, but then I like to drive. As for Germany, I'll send you an email.
