Hi! I just bought tix for my Honduras trip..and am leaving in 2 weeks! I need much advice...I am flying into San Pedro Sula...and will be there for 1 week. What are some of the best places in the vicinity (can be a few hours away)...in regards to nature/outdoors/hiking? I would love to do some hiking in some great beauty..where I might even see some wildlife. In one of my guides, I see several National Parks, etc. mentioned..but it is hard to narrow down..any suggestions of where to go? I am also thinking of spending a day at the Copans ruins..is this a must-see? My last visit to Honduras, I spent a week in La Ceiba and Roatan, so this time I want to see other places, my flight is into San Pedro Sula...looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

Copán Ruinas is no doubt the most important attraction in Honduras. Not only the Pre-Colombian ruins, the town itself is also nice. You can also do some hiking outside the town. You might want to spend a few more days there.
