THE LONGEST THREAD
Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 10:14 PM UTC
Hi. Are you looking for an ongoing chat? Work got you down? Are you at work and just need to kill time? Do you like Zanny behaviour? On a regular basis? Eat red meat? Do you feel it is your human right to smoke inside and sometimes get sick on friends furniture (better than at your house!)? Do you like seeing the ‘Forum Replies’ notification tell you that there are 50 replies from the same thread? Are you in for the long haul? Come in and stay! Have a cold adult beverage and lets turn the music up high enough to involve law enforcement!

If you can’t commit – you must quit!

"I'll hang around for bit a bit and see if it gets interesting", she said as she poured another glass of wine and looked for the comfiest chair.
"Can I wear what I like or will be be ridiculed for being mutton dressed as lamb?"

I think I'll surf the Travel Forum for a while with Coldplay on in the background ... or maybe some Jackson Browne, and consider what the midnight snack is to consist of.

Morning All,

Scary snake there Dave, but I am sure that the ladies in your locality tell you that!

Gotta do pigging work today, but had a very nice bottle of red last night with some sirloin steaks.

Anybody have any jokes or good stories? Please edit anything in case children or people with sensitivities way beyond their own front garden happen to see.

Mel above has stupid picture of me that was taken BEFORE I got drunk. Although it doesn't look like it.

Manchester United play today for any football (soccer) fans. Go Red Devils!

And now a story:

The wife came home early and found her husband in their bedroom making love to a very attractive young woman and was somewhat upset -- "You are a disrespectful pig!" she cried. "How dare you do this to me -- a faithful wife, the mother of your children! I'm leaving you. I want a divorce straight away!"
And the husband replied "Hang on just a minute Love, so at least I can tell you what happened."
"Fine, go ahead," she sobbed, "but they'll be the last words you'll ever say to me!!

And the husband began --

"Well, I was getting into the car to drive home and this young lady here asked me for a lift. She looked so down and out and defenseless that I took pity on her and let her into the car. I noticed that she
was thin, poorly dressed and very dirty. She told me that she hadn't eaten for three days ! So, in my compassion, I brought her home and warmed up the enchiladas I made for you last night - the ones you wouldn't eat because you're afraid you'll put on weight. The poor thing devoured them in moments. Since she needed a good clean up I suggested a shower, and while she was doing that I noticed her clothes were dirty and full of holes, so I threw them away. Then, as she needed clothes, I gave her the designer jeans that you have had for a few years, But don't use because you say they are too tight. I also gave her the underwear that was your Anniversary present, which you don't use because I don't have good taste. I went and found the sexy blouse my sister gave you for Christmas - the one that you don't wear just to annoy her, and I also donated those boots you bought at that expensive shoe boutique and don't use because someone at work has a pair the same." The husband took a quick breath and continued - "She was so grateful for my understanding and help and as I walked her to
the door she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said, "Please, do you have anything else that your wife doesn't use?"

Is there a passcode for this thread? I feel like yelling out the B word, but I wouldn't want to offend. And I've always been fond of those long threads.

Ciao all!

OK. I have 3 Fosters cans. These are pints. The right size for a can of beer. They have been in the fridge for 24 hours. They are very very cold. This means I have 2 extra.

Who wants one?

And yes you can shout out the B word anytime. In fact, I will do it now:

BEER!

Did you know that here in Aussieland we think of Fosters and 4X as the crap stuff we export while we keep the best beers for ourselves?

A pint size can would be a bit useless in Oz, would get too hot! Even small can in a stubby holder warms up unless you're quick!

I've just been enjoying a cold adult beverage(red wine in this case)and wedges in delightful surroundings at the new Novotel Hotel's bar in Exmouth.
We sat in the comfortable basket chairs on the patio overlooking the lilly pond and swimming pool as the sun went down over the ocean. Attentive waiters pandered to our every need(well, not quite EVERY need).
Earlier I was swimming in the warm waters of the ocean and gathered shells form the beach. Saturday I went snorkelling on the Ningaloo reef. Sunday I was sailing on a surf-cat. I embaressed myself by slipping and falling nito the water as I was clambering on, but it was becuase I had just put on sun-block and was slippery(that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)followed by drinks at the yacht club.
This is the life! What a shame holidays are limited to a few weeks of the year.

its 5 wooden blocks on each side with a bigger block in the middle which is the king, you stand behind your "wall" of blocks trying to knock down the other teams "wall" ( we have 6 wooden sticks each)...and some more rules ...but the point is to get rid of the other teams blocks befor knocking down the king, its harder than it looks and great fun, its an old viking game
