Hong Kong Transport to Hotel
Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 03:56 PM UTC
Can anyone please tell me which train I would get from the Hong Kong International Airport to the Wharney Guang Dong Hotel in Lockhart Road, Wan Chai. I believe there is a train from the airport direct to the hotel. Thank you

You need to take the Airport Express Train. There are 3 stations, Tsing Yee, Kowloon and Hong Kong purchase the ticket that ends in Hong kong station it's advisable to get a roundtrip ticket because it comes out cheaper or you can also get the airport express travel pass that allows you unlimited mtr travel for 3 days. When you get to the Hong kong station, go to the free shuttle bus area and look for what bus goes to your hotel. Hope this helps.

You can also take the #A11 City Flyer bus from the airport to Wanchai. It takes about 15 minutes or so longer than the airport express but it is a much more scenic ride and costs much less at $33.00. Here is the link to the page for more information https://www.nwstbus.com.hk/routes/routeinfo.aspx?intLangID=1&searchtype=1&routenumber=A11&route=A11&;routetype=D&company=5&exactMatch=yes

or go tohttp://www.nwstbus.com.hk and type in A11 in the interactive bus route search box.

Enjoy!

In addition to the above, the train costs HK$100 up to Central. Then you take Wan Chai (Island Line) which is two stops away from Central.

If by bus, the driver will let you off at Wan Chai MTR station. Fare is HK$40.

been to HK recently, but before that i was also split on taking train, MTR or city flyer. finally decided on city flyer and was glad i did. with a couple of luggages, it helped that airport to hotel took just 1 ride, while MTR and train may require several transfers. and the scenic route (while i trace route in map) helped me decide on the next days' trip ahead. later in my stay, taking the MTR all the time was best and i didn't have to wonder how it was up the ground. and i tell you, it's worth seeing HK up-ground too, esp outside/outskirts of the city
