I am travelling through Jinnah Terminal on my way to London in august. I don't want to pay the visa price to stay in a hotel in Karachi so am staying from about 4pm until 12pm the next day before my connecting flight.
Does the Airport have showers?
Are there any comfortable seats to sleep on?
Do all the shops there only accept pakistani money?
How much money should I take?

Karachi Airport's depature lounge is constructed in circular shape and not as spacy as it should be, there are very comfortable seats but sleeping there is not possible I guess, the airport remain open 24 hours a day and more flights at night so its always crowded and noisy with flights announcements.

If your transit is over 8~10 hours then your airline is bound to provide you accomodation and also arrange the tranist visa for you. Visa on Arrival on your own is no more available.

Not many shops there as well inside the departure terminal, 1 Mc Donald Kiosk, 1 Gift/Suvineer shop and 1 provision store besides a book stall. There is a smaoking lounge, TV's, free internet (8 PC's) and Free Cell phone charging points, public telephone booths are also there operating with Pre Paid card (There is no need to buy the card as there are attendents which charge you according to the usage) There are clean toilets but no shower. You use U.S Dollar but the change you will get will be in Pakistani Rupee (The exchange rate will also be alot less)

My Advise to you is to contact with your airline and ask them for proving you the hotel and arrange yoru transit visa as per AITA regulations you are entitiled for that in case your tranist is over 8~10 hours by airlines default.

Or you can get Visa in advance, go out, roam around for take hotel near by the airport to get some sleep or rest. As far as I understand is that your stay at Karachi Airport is nearly 20 hours, at Dubai or Singapore Airport spending that much time would be no problem but in Karachi that is awfully long.
