How can I go from Madrid to tenerife? how much is the price of this jopurney?

marina: you can fly, or you can travel to Cadiz on the South of Spain where to take the overnight ferry but it will be obliviously a very long trip and probably a more expensive than flying

Price?? Impossible to say, it depends on your dates, season, time of the day, company, special offers, how long in advance you purchase your tickets... etc. as in any other trip!

Have a loot at search websites like www.trabber.com to see which companies do this route and how much it cost on your travel dates

Yes I think flying would be your best bet. Iberia would be the obvious choice of airline but flights can often be expensive. Booking ahead might help. Book online too as these prices are cheaper than going through a travel agents.

Try aireurope too and Spanair.

There are often low cost airlines which go from Madrid. You could always look on edreams to see a selection of companies that fly from Madrid.
