I am travelling to Hanoi on 24th July and plan to travel around north and south for 3 weeks. I know it is the rainy season, but was wondering if it will just be afew heavy downpours like I had in Thailand - or if I am in for a continual soaking with no sunshine at all? Many thanks.

Although things seem to be changing a bit (the rains started early this year), on the whole it's a short downpour in the afternoon
