This year, the French domestic rail lines are under renovation. Much of the train service has been replaced with bus service.

Ultimately, both are satisfactory.

S: Last weekend we took the train from Nice to Ventimiglia and back - there was no disruption, usual good service. Any specific problem you had in mind?

With the road traffic building up from now on the bus times are really beginning to stretch - Come July/ August SNCF is the only option unless you have time to burn.
