Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Paris Phoning in Paris
Posted: Fri May 9, 2008 08:28 AM UTC
A potentially silly question, but I have not had to phone anyone in Paris when I have been there.
If this is the following number: +33.(0)6.62.62.93.20, do I just dial 62.62.93.20?
Thanks

If you want to call this number when in France, you should dial 06.62.62.93.20.

depends if you are using a mobile or landline i think

if a mobile you can dial all the number and if a landline depends on where you are and where the call is diected to - ie does your phone have the same exchange as the receiving phone

French mobile and landline phone numbers are composed of 10-digit numbers, starting with a 0 (zero).

You only drop the 0 (zero) from the beginning of the 10-digit phone number when you are calling from abroad.

In France a mobile number begins with 06.

Just wanted to say that this is not a silly question at all. It can be very hard to figure some of these things out.
