| Point Pelee | Dogs in the park? Posted: Fri May 9, 2008 02:04 AM UTC
We're hoping to visit Point Pelee this month and would like to bring our dog. Does anyone know if there are there restrictions in the park?
Thanks, Sandi |

Dogs are not permitted in the campground area, but are ok in the rest of the park as long they are leashed.
Link: http://www.out-there.com/ppnpk.htm ... here's some info to confirm the above. Have a good time!

Hi there,
Please try to remember that in May, Point Pelee is a sanctuary for thousands of tired and hungry migrant birds who have crossed Lake Erie, and this is their peak migration period right now. Although dogs are allowed on a leash, please remember that a barking or noisy dog may disturb these delicate creatures. One warning--you will probably find many birders (birdwatchers) on the trails during the month of May!
