I can't say why she didn't get your emails, but it's not uncommon for organizations to acquire multiple domain names and funnel them together - particularly if the only difference is the extension. In this case, it seems that AAPT got both the aapt.com.au and aapt.net.au names, and is forwarding the aapt.net.au traffic to the aapt.com.au mail server.
There is a big business in people buying up domain names of famous websites but with a different extension. I am told that the White House website was www.whitehouse.gov (which is the official site, as would make sense), but that someone years ago bought www.whitehouse.com and put up a porno website (actually, I know they did that with nasa.com so that children looking for pictures of Mars from a NASA mission kept finding undressed people).
So some sites go ahead and buy the domain name with multiple extensions just to stop that...or they use lawyers with large retainers to sue for the rights to the website.
So, I am not worried about the two different names...so long as both of them work consistently...
