Any recommendations for some cool/interesting pubs that are away from the tourists spots. Also, perhaps any hotels that are in the same area and out of the touristy areas.

Hello!
Maybe you could consider the Raday Utca, where you will find several places for drinking and eating, but it is still not crowded with tourists. It is quite quiet and popular among Hungarians. It is close to the Kalvin Square, and there you can find several hotels, for example Ibis Centrum and Hotel Korona. Take care and enjoy your stay!
