Hi. I ( we - 2 persons )am portuguese and going to Goa in October. We are looking for the cultural side of Goa not beach or sun. And we are also serious shoppers for antiques. Does anyone can offer advice on best areas for shopping antiques,good and reliable shops. how much bargaining should be done? any antique fais? when and where and does anyone local want to be our guide?

I'd avoid Calangute/Baga...try the Fountainas district of Panjim as this is the Portuguese quarter.
