| Maldives | Seaplane Transfers/Snorkling Posted: Thu May 8, 2008 07:14 PM UTC
We are going to Meeru Island Resort in June and are thinking of upgrading to a seaplane transfer one way from Male Airport. Can anyone give me an idea of the costs involved?
How much is Snorkle hire? Should we take our own equipment? |

Its priceless.
Just have a look here: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/30b4a/6c1/ If I remember correctly the boat was $80 and the Seaplane $200. So glad I went by seaplane. Some of the best pictures I ever took! Have a great time. (They have equipment in every resort, email them for prices.)

I would recommend bringing your own equipment - at least if you think you'll snorkle much (and you should, it's fantastic!!) Not only because renting can get pretty expensive, but also because the quality of the gear available for rent tends to be not-that-great. (I don't know about Meeru island specifically, though!)
I always bring my own snorkelling gear, that way I know the quality is good, the mask fits me and I don't have to worry about using snorkelling gear that 8365765746574 others have used before me :o))
