We have a flight leaving BCN airport at 7:15am. We will be staying in hostels for our trip, but are not sure what to do for accommodations on our last night. If we stay in a hostel that night, will we be able to find transportation to the airport so early in the morning? We will have to be at the airport by 6 am... is the metro running that early? If not, should we just sleep at the airport that night? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks!

hi there, the metro will start running at five in the morning. Don't know if this is early enough for you, since you don't mention the location of your hostel.

Are you sure 6 am will be early enough for a 7.15 flight? I don't know about security in Barcelona, but in most airports you would be cutting it a bit sharp.

There is Night bus N17, if I remember corectly, Pl. Catalunia - Airport. You have to check the shedules for departures time and travel time (my estimation is around 40 - 60 minutes). I think it departs all night on X.00, X.20 and X.40.

- you can call a taxi. the phone numer is (0034) 93 303 3033 the ride takes around 30 mins and it costs aprox 25€. they charge you an extra fee for the luggage.
- you can take the bus ('aerobus' http://www.emt-amb.com/links/DetalleLinea.asp?pagLinea=lineas/aero.htm&CodLinea='A1'&idioma=). it departures from Plaza Cataluña to El Prat airport. First bus leaves at 5.30 a.m. from monday to saturday + public holidays. takes 30 mins and it costs around 4€.
- you can take the train (www.renfe.es). you can take the train either at 'estación de Franca', 'Passeig de Gracia' or 'Barcelona Sants' stations, to the airport. it takes aprox 20-30 mins and one-way ticket costs 2.60€. the 1st train leaves at 5.30 a.m.
- if you need to get to any of the places above (bus stop or train station) here you have a map with all metro lines in barcelona. 1st metro leaves at 5 a.m eveyday but on saturdays, when they have 24h service.
