Price is no object -- I just wish to know where the best food is to be found in the German Colony. I am arriving Wednesday and I meting a friend and I wish to take her out for a special treat.

I haven't been there for more than a year, but the fanciest restaurant by far in the German Colony was "HaShumra". It's on 15 Ben-Gurion street, and their phone number is 04-8551872.

If you are willing to go a little further from the German Colony, there is a (relatively) new restaurant close to the port which got excellent reviews. It's called "Hanamal 24" and it's located om 24 HaNamal street their phone number is 04-8628899 (see: http://rest.co.il/sites/Default.asp?txtRestID=8128&txtNavID=3&txtItemID=120867 for the dinner menu, scroll down for the English part).

OK. I got a little confuse for a second, thinking I gave the wrong answer, but it seems that this time G.I.S.H (who usuaully gives great answers) gor confused. Joy is the Jerusalem German Colony, not the Haifa one.
