Hi there,
Has anyone stayed at B&B Lucky House ROma? I have been looking for reviews on the net but havent found any. Is it within walking distance to the sights? Thanks! |

A couple of reviews here:
http://en.venere.com/bed_and_breakfasts_rome/marsa It's near Termini, very near where I stayed in April actually. Very convenient for bus/metro/tram (5 minutes from Termini station/bus station/Metro) and about 20 minutes walk to the Colosseum. Despite what you may read elsewhere/hear about the Termini area it is fine, imo, and I always stay there for its conveneience and price. Like all areas around stations in major cities, it's not particularly pretty but it'sperfectly ok. Just use usual city common sense when in Rome:keep your eyes open for pickpockets, don't flash cash, be wary in crowded places, don't get icapably drunk etc etc.

I also stayed near Termini last year at a hotel b&b called Notti A Roma which is on Via Firenze which is a few blocks from the station & the double decker buses leave from the station & these buses can take you to all the sights!!!
most of my photos were taken from the top of the double decker buses!!! ps: id recommend the Notti A Roma also - such a nice family & great breakfast & facilities & organised our taxis to airport etc & to our suprise got a mercades with tinted windows!! hehe

The open-top buses are more expensive than using the excellent public transport system.
And, to be honest, by the time they have negotiated the traffic you would be quicker to walk (or use the Metro/tram for further away places). But they are ok if you are happy to pay extra for convenience and (I assume?) a commentary.

O I see.
Not something I have experienced. Think you probably just had very bad luck.
