Hi
I need some info here, I have a colleague who is going to attend three days training in Putrajaya. Is there a cheap hotel or motel which is nearer to Putrajaya? I've heard that there is a train which stops at Putrajaya and then further to KLIA, is this correct? If so what is the name of the train service? I appreciated any valuable information or suggestions. Fern |

Hi!
Not sure abt cheap hotel in Putrajaya, maybe other VTers can assist on this. Re the train service, the KLIA Transit train stops at Putrajaya en route to KLIA/KL Sentral. Maybe your freind can consider staying in cheap hotel around Brickfields (YMCA, De Sentral Hotel etc) and commute to Purajaya using the train. -m-

From KLIA to Putrajaya there is ERL (train) There are two types - 1- express from KLIA to KL Sentral(Kuala Lumpur) 2nd. ERL Transit (the trains stops at several stations include putrajaya)
there is no cheap hotel or motel around Putrajaya. But there is lots of hotels in Kuala Lumpur. From Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral) take ERL Transit to Putrajaya. If you buy returned ticket is cheaper. I thin RM 15.00

HI,
The Cheapest Hotel that I found in Kuala Lumpur and is on top of the train station is the Heritage Station Hotel. It is not fancy, and the service is practically non-existent, but it is literally on top of the train station. It is also a hang-out for taxi drivers if you have a lot of luggage. It is only a 5 min drive to the Sentral if you need it, and you can take a train to it if you don't have much luggage. Several nice museums are within walking distance and you just go down to catch the trains to your destination anywhere, I believe. I stayed on the 2nd floor (the elevator stops between floors!?) and it was not noisy at all. It is a very somber place, but it is safe and the rooms have private baths, and all basic amenities. You can google "heritage station, KL" and you will read the information for yourself. Good luck.
