I am staying in Sveti Stefan for a week in July as I have heard it is amazing. IS this true? Where are the best beaches to go to? Are they Ulcinj?

Any help or tips would be really appreciated

budva has a nice beach and is closer to sveti stefan than ulcinj.

Ulcinj is dirty and not so close to Sveti Stefan. There is Budva and Becici close to Sveti Stefan. I have a friend there, it's nice!

i personally prefer ulcinj to budva, but budva is closer to sveti stefan.
in my opinion budva is an artificial holiday town with no atmosphere and not as friendly as ulcinj, but i guess we all have our different views.

I suppose you are not referring to the city beach of Ulcinj, which s overcrowded in summer but to Long Beach. It is 5 km south to Ulcinj and extends on 13 km with a very smooth sand. More on

Is sveti stefan a good place to stay?

Sveti Stefan is undoubtedly a good place to look at from the main road. It may be interesting to visit though the entrance fee is said to be quite high.
I have never stayed in Sveti Stefan. It used to be a top class resort with many famous visitors in the 60s. It seems that the prices have remained very high but that the service is now deficient but this is not first hand information.

HI, WE HAVE JUST COME BACK FROM BUDVA. THE ISLAND OF SVETI STEFAN IS CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT, SO I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU STAY IN BUDVA,OR BECICI, WHICH HAS A BETTER BEACH. I HAVE NOT BEEN TO ULCINJ, BUT THEYSAY IT IS THE BEST BEACH. THERE IS A BUS FROM DUBROVNIK TO BUDVA, WHICH LEAVES AT 10.30 AND COSTS 15.50 EUROS. MY DUAUGHTER AND SIX STUDENT FRIENDS FROM MANCHESTER ARE COMING TO STAY AT OUR APARTMENT IN BECICI AT THE END OF JULY. THEY WILL BE GETTING THE BUS FROM DUBROVNIK, AND I AM TRYINIG TO FIND A MINIBUS TO RETURN THEM TO DUBROVNIK AIRPORT. ANY PRICES ANYONE?
