I am traveling with two people to Antigua, and I would like to know somse interesting activities located in that are. I have heard of the ruins, and I would like to know more about them. If any one has any information about them, please post it.

Basically most of the current ruins are old churches that were damaged in an earthquake in the late 1700s (1773 or something). Some you can enter and visit. Some/most have entrance fees. Some are locked up and you can only view them from the outside. They are all over Antigua and you won't have a problem seeing them as you casually walk around town. Any good tourist map (I got a good one at the Iglesia de San Francisco) will show you the locations.

Do you have any specific questions?

After staying in antigua for three nights, we are traveling to panajachel for a couple days. If you know anything about hotels, activities, restaurants, etc., I would appreciate it.

Pana's a fun place, possibly too touristy for some as it's kind of backpacker heaven. But there are lots of lodging choices, restaurants, and chances to meet lots of folks from all over. Be sure to take a ferry to one of the neighboring lake villages. There's the Reserva Natural Atitlan which is nice to hike around and also has a series of zip lines. When we were there we stayed at Hotel Utz Jay. On a quiet side street not too far from the lakeshore and two of the friendliest German Shepherds.

Read my Antigua page, it's simple and direct. Ruins, the best closest ruins are in Honduras, Copan Ruinas. I have a page on that also. The best are suppose to be Tikal, but that is way on the other side of Guatemala, near Belize.
