i am looking for a good quality cheaper hotel for my son and girlfriend who are visiting milan for a short city break 4th to 6th june. Near city centre for all tourist sites etc. would be ideal or somewhere close to transport links. Any suggestions and approx prices

Try the Hotel Nettuno at Via Tadino 27 which is about 800 meters from the Central station. They have a private room with toilet and shower for 40 Euro. I stayed there at the end of March this spring. It was all new and clean. They can be booked on Hostelz.com. The Bed is King size. There is no breakfast. Just a good clean quiet room.

Get on to www.venere.com or www.bookings.com. They will have plenty for you to choose from and make sure to read the reviews because they are quite genuine.
