I've stayed in the Royal National and found it to be OK, compared to others in London i've stayed at around the same price it was the same standard.

Hi, I've stayed in the Royal National, which I found was fine as a base for sightseeing etc- I'm not sure how the other places compare though.

VTer JulesH recommended The Tavistock in a recent Forum question -the same chain as Royal National, in Art Deco style, with a bowling Alley!!www.imperialhotels.co.uk

Please check out my London Hotels tips for more info and photo of The Royal National.

Have you tried looking at sites such as Venere.com, Travel advisor etc; for comments from travellers who've stayed at these places.
Have A Great trip!
Best Wishes,
Sue

I have stayed at the PRESIDENT at least 5 times and have always been satisfied. Of course, the rooms and lobby could use updating, but the rooms are very clean and in good repair. The continental breakfast has been much improved in the last couple of years. I am planning on staying there again in July and would recommend it.
