Tokyo budget accommodation in Tokyo

Tokyo, Ueno, Asakusa or Ikebukuro area

any recommendations for budget accommodation below 8500Y for a double room with bed?
<managed to source for semi dbl 8400Y New Izu, Touganeya hotel>

any recommdations for ryokan for 2 person in a room below 6000Y?
<managed to source for Tokyo House Ikebukuro>

we will be in Tokyo for 6 nights from 31 May. VT Meet anyone?

any suggested itineraries are welcomed too.

Some Tokyo suggestions:
Tokyo Tower
Ueno Park with the museums
Meiji Shrine
Tsukiji Fish market, if you can get up early
Shinkuju, Shibuya or Harajuku at night
Akihabara Electronics Street
Ginza Kabuki theatre
Asakusa famous temple with the giant lantern
Day trip to Kamakura, Yokohama or Nikko

Hi, you might want to try this hotel, I have heard that it is pretty good, from some friends of mine. The prices are a bit higher than you are talking about, although it is reasonable for Tokyo. THey have different locations as well.

Things to do:
Take the Kamome sky train at night.
Tokyo Tower & Zojoji
Imperial Palace Grounds
Akihabara Electric Town
Night: Roppongi & Shinjuku
Look at other tips on this site...

You might want to take a side trip to Hakone and stay at a Ryokan or better yet skip Tokyo and Stay in Kyoto.

I made a booking with Ueno Touganeya Hotel for a semi-double room for 8400Y per room night.
