my wife and i honeymooned in punta cana 3 years ago. while i was there i bought a black bead necklace from a vendor on the beach. last week the necklace broke. i cant remember the name of the beads used. it is a smooth volcanic rock that is very heavy. someone please help me so i can find new beads online.

I know which beads you mean, as they sell them all over the country (but only on tourist towns), but darned I don't remember the name. I'll ask my mom or my sister and come back to you.

BTW, sorry that the necklace broke :(

Obsidian may be the type of rock, formed from lava flows.
